The Pump Station
The Rebecca Minkoff for Bravado Designs Limited Edition, Essential Nursing Tank Collection will be available via a carefully curated group of specialty retailers including The Pump Station. These are dedicated, long-term partners of Bravado Designs, all of whom share Bravados’ philosophy and commitment to super-serving all mothers.
In 1986 Corky & Wendy met as fellow Lamaze teachers who were working as RNs with a specialization in maternal/newborn health. As young mothers they saw a need for parent education beyond the birth process. They developed a Baby Care class which provided parents with the 'baby bootcamp' they needed to care for their newborns. A year later, they began to rent breast pumps out of their homes and the Pump Station was born.
The Pump Station’s Breastfeeding Support Groups provide moms with the information and support they need to reach their individual breastfeeding goals. These groups have been so helpful to moms that a video series called Mommie Matters™ was launched so more moms can experience what happens in these groups on-line.
“Our mission is to nurture, support and empower all mothers with compassionate service, quality information and outstanding products. We serve as a breastfeeding resource center that educates, guides and encourages each mother as she learns to care for her baby,” said Corky Harvey MS, RN, IBCLC and founder of The Pump Station.
Nursing Bras were a category of merchandise Moms demanded most and struggled to find the variety they needed and the size ranges necessary to fit their ever-changing body type. Since 2000 Bravado has provided The Pump Station with a multitude of styles that satisfy mom’s needs.
“We’re proud of our partnership with Bravado and we know they will be an integral part of our continued success. We are so excited to be a part of the Rebecca Minkoff Limited Edition Nursing Tank Collection Lunch and to support Baby Buggy,” added Wendy Haldeman MN, RN, IBCLC and co-founder of The Pump Station.
The Pump Station also gives back by supporting Baby2Baby in Los Angeles by hosting clothing drives and collecting gently used baby-gear. Baby2Baby supplies families in need with essential baby gear and clothing for their children up to age 12. By distributing new and gently used items to over 40 non-profit organizations, Baby2Baby reaches over 50,000 children per year.
