About the Sleepy Planet Experts

Jill Spivack, LCSW, completed her graduate studies at University of Southern California and worked as a psychotherapist at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center’s Early Childhood Department.  Jill, a mother of two children, developed a specialty in pediatric sleep disorders while working in New York City as a family therapist after experiencing sleep problems with her first child. In 1999, upon returning to Los Angeles, Jill co-founded the pediatric sleep firm, Childsleep. Currently a co-founder of Sleepy Planet (www.sleepyplanet.com), Jill provides sleep consultations, private parent education sessions and leads parenting groups for first and second time mothers.   Jill lectures throughout the community on sleep, behavior and other parenting topics.

Jennifer Waldburger, LCSW, began her career as a writer and editor in New York City, working for such publications as Town & Country and Redbook. Realizing through volunteer work that working with children and families was her passion, Jennifer then earned her master’s degree in social work at the University of Wisconsin, contributing to research at the Mayo Clinic. As a psychotherapist, she developed an expertise in pediatric sleep, becoming co-owner of Childsleep and then co-founder of Sleepy Planet. Currently, Jennifer provides sleep consultations, lectures on sleep other parenting topics, continues in private practice as a therapist, and facilitates healing and energy sessions with parents and families through SQ Wellness (www.sq-wellness.com).
