Business Systems Analyst

Role Objective:

Reporting to the Senior Director of Finance, the Business Systems Analyst is accountable to implement the newly selected ERP System for Bravado Designs Ltd. as outlined in the project plan. The Business Systems Analyst will work with the Subject Matter Experts (SME) for a top down implementation and to ensure a successful implementation within the agreed upon timelines. The Business Systems Analyst will work closely with the Third Party ERP provider’s project manager and team to ensure a smooth transition of the ERP. Other responsibilities will include working throughout the organization as a “power user” to ensure effective communication and implementation through the entire business.

The incumbent will be detail-oriented, anticipate and identify and resolve issues, using effective time management skills to complete the tasks within the timelines.

 

Accountabilities:

ERP Implementation

  • Analyze business processes and work with the ERP provider to ensure that best practices are implemented in the through the implementation timeline for modules – manages and leads the implementation project to ensure timelines and deliverables are achieved
  • Lead with system configuration, installation, data migration and testing to ensure data integrity
  • Provide user training and support, including modules for the overseas vendors, and Malaysia team
  • Gain expert knowledge of the system and become SME of the system to act as the liaison between the users and the ERP provider
  • Provide ongoing user support for the system post implementation
  • Work hand in hand with the external Project Leader to convey project status control to the ERP steering committee
  • Develops, documents and prioritizes business requirements, develops new business models and expanded capabilities
  • Be the capability domain specialist, identify risk and potential mitigation based on domain expertise

Business Systems and Analysis

  • Define and document processes for assigned areas within capability, manage data quality, manage stakeholder relationships, drive efficiency and effectiveness of process, and manage process metrics and performance within timelines
  • Supports all departments as the “go to” person with all business systems i.e. Salesforce
  • Organize and Lead SME user acceptance testing, field user acceptance testing and readiness activities for the assigned process areas during deployment and adoption – works closely with key system lead in each department
  • Ensure the ERP is running effectively
  • Continuous improvements of business processes and system improvement, and identifies new reports to enhance the business intelligence for decision making
  • Make recommendations and improvements to enhance business operations processes

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Business/Commerce or a related field
  • Must have a minimum 8 years’ experience working with business systems, processes and analyses
  • Prior experience leading an ERP implementation
  • Minimum 6 years of experience with ERP implementation and software implementation
  • Knowledge of Finance department processes and requirements is an asset
  • PMP certification is preferred
  • Superior skills using Microsoft Office Suite
  • Thorough understanding of Supply Chain/Finance/Planning/Logistics and Order Processing
