You are an accomplished Communications Manager with a passion for increasing brand engagement through digital, social media, and content marketing. You love being a part of a dynamic team and would like to work for a fantastic and growing company.

 

Role Objective:

At Bravado Designs, our purpose is to inspire every new Mom to breastfeed and help support her to succeed in her breastfeeding journey.  We believe our success is dependent on the superior design in our products and a very strong collaboration and bond between our sales, design and marketing teams to deliver a great brand experience.

Media outreach and consumer engagement has played an integral role in building our brand over the past 25 years, however the media landscape is forever changing as are the ways in which we leverage media to build excitement and create engagement with our customer and consumers.

Reporting to the Senior Director of Marketing, this person will be accountable for increasing brand engagement with our consumers by creating an exciting and engaging social platform. This will be done through building and sustaining a strong influencer strategy and engaging social platform that builds awareness of our brand, engagement and conversation with our consumers while continually growing our social footprint.

This role has solid PR/Marketing Communications experience and an understanding of digital, social media and content marketing and can integrate this knowledge in building strong brand equity. A global mindset, strong strategic and critical thinking skills, strong writing skills and a passion to build our brand and product knowledge through fostering strong relations and communication planning, is the core objective of this role.

This is an exciting opportunity for a Public Relations/Communications professional who enjoys the challenge of contributing to the business and who is enthusiastic to build a brand through innovation and creativity with a focus on getting measurable results.

 

Accountabilities:

  • Create a strategic framework for Social and P.R. and execute the plan in building brand equity integrating all channels
  • Accountable for managing both internal and external public relations of the brand on a global scale
  • To acquire and cultivate relationships with key influencers who will become extensions of our Brand through healthy partnerships and ongoing brand engagement
  • Must take a “grass roots” approach to building engagement with our moms and constantly be on the “hunt” for new opportunities to help elevate our brand globally with scalability always being the goal
  • Develop a thorough understanding of the pre/post-natal digital media landscape including traditional editorial P.R. to leverage the key influencer/blogger communities, mom networks and lactation communities
  • Development and posting of social media assets across all social properties to ensure consistent voice throughout and support new product launches and ongoing engagement

Qualifications & Technical Skills:

  • Post-Secondary Education with a specialty in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations
  • 7-10 years leadership experience in Social/P.R. Marketing preferably in the North American market. Global experience is an asset.
  • Media Key Influencer/Blogger Outreach preferably in the pre/post-natal or fashion category
  • Blogging - knowledge and experience is an asset
  • Strong writing skills
  • Excellent knowledge of Digital and Social Media Marketing
  • Superior analytical skills
  • Content Strategy & Development
  • Media relations, both traditional and non-traditional
  • Event Planning & Management
  • Sponsorship/Fundraising Experience
  • Excellent networking and relationship building skills
  • Strong knowledge and skills with the Microsoft Suite, including Word, PowerPoint, Excel & Outlook
  • Solid understanding and use of social networking and tools available to enhance network – must have both the theoretical knowledge and proven practical application in a public relations role
  • Proven brand development
