Quality Assurance Manager – Colour

Role Objective:

The Quality Assurance Manager - Colour (QAMC) is responsible for ensuring that all products comply with Bravado standards and specifications, specifically as they relate to colour.

The QAMC collaborates closely with the Sourcing R & D Manager, Design Manager and Technical Design Managers to understand the seasonal vision and requirements and creates appropriate controls for successful product and colour development.

In addition, the QAMC is responsible for ensuring all internal team members and vendors understand the specifications and compliance requirements and monitors their continued adherence to these specifications.

The QAMC is accountable for planning, preparing and delivering a successful seasonal colour hand-off to the Bravado Bulk Production team in Malaysia.



Product & Colour Development:

  • Ensure raw materials (fabrics or components) presented by Sourcing and/or Design are appropriate for the identified end use
  • Communicate effectively and clearly during development meetings with your cross functional partners
  • Ensure colour submissions are evaluated and approved against the Bravado set standards and protocols within the seasonal development timeline
  • Create the Seasonal Raw Material & Color hand-off for the Bravado Bulk Production team in Malaysia; utilizing approved colour QTX Files and visual assessment records
  • Ensure performance-related attributes regarding colour are finalized at development and communicated as required


Continual Production Evaluation and Control:

  • Create Bravado fabric master colour card standards, manage colour standard library
    • Manage the refreshing of these standards as required
  • Monitor colour in bulk production to ensure results meet approved standards for all subsequent seasonal use
    • Initiate colour reset when required
  • Initiate and build a Corrective Action Plan (CAP) if required


Management of Colour Quality Problems:

  • Identify problems, investigate, gather all facts and make recommendation(s) for resolution
    • Initiate and build a CAP if required
  • Have discussions with Vendors and Team Malaysia on an “as-needed” basis after hours


Vendor Management:

  • Monitor and collect data for quarterly vendor performance evaluation and report card
  • Make recommendations for improving vendor performance


Quality Assurance Departmental Responsibility:

  • Ensure all seasonal development milestone deadlines and deliverables are met on-time
  • Work with suppliers and Bulk Production team in Malaysia ensure complete understanding of the set Bravado colour process, Quality Management Process (end-to-end) and all standards
  • Ensure Colour Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) are created, and modified as needed, and followed


Additional duties and responsibilities may be added or modified as required throughout the course of your employment



  • Post-secondary education in Quality Assurance, Clothing and Textiles, Fashion Technology
  • 6-10 years of industry experience in a related position
  • Management experience
  • Proven track record for delivering successful quality products
  • Excellent knowledge of Colour and its evaluation
  • Must have experience using a spectrophotometer and QTX files
  • Experience working on the dyeing floor is preferred
  • In-depth knowledge of Garment Testing and Quality Control
  • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint and Word

Travel & Logistics Requirements:

  • Valid Driver’s License for travel
  • Valid Passport and available to travel internationally
  • Must work out of the Bravado Toronto office
  • Core office hours are Monday – Friday
  • Global nature of the position will require flexible hours outside core office hours
