Sales Forecasting Analyst

Reporting to the Senior Director, Finance, the Sales Forecasting Analyst will collect and analyze data, produce sales and finance reports, and provide analysis and insights to assist in the strategic management and development of the sales department, using data from Customer POS and other business systems. The Sales Forecasting Analyst is accountable for all aspects of tracking, forecasting and reporting on sales results. The Sales Forecasting Analyst will provide the interpretation of data by creating reports, sales tools and presentations in Excel. In addition, the Sales Forecasting Analyst will contribute to initiatives through the coordination and presentation of meaningful data analysis as it relates to all aspects of our business.

The Sales Forecasting Analyst is an integral part of the Sales and Operations planning process as it supports the organization’s production planning, inventory management and financial planning functions. This responsibility will require working collaboratively with our business partners, including Sales in the North American and Global Markets, Marketing and the Master Planner.

This will be accomplished through effective communication, time management, analytical skills, advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and proactive and collaborative communication with our internal partners.


  • Investigate, analyze and evaluate current Sales and Marketing Activities and combines it with historical data using to create weekly and monthly forecasts and measure forecast accuracy
  • Responsible for preparing and supporting forecast assumptions and providing key deliverables to the business including monthly forecasts, annual budget sales plans
  • Present monthly demand forecast to Sales team, Global Business Development team and Leadership Team
  • Using the demand forecast, create and distribute reports for various departments that improve Supply Chain and Manufacturing planning
  • Work with multiple areas of the business to accurately reflect recent trends in all modeling work
  • Assist with special projects by providing data analysis
  • Maintains the history of forecast adjustments and investigates how these changes are impacting the organization
  • Makes recommendations regarding process improvements to forecast accuracy
  • In-depth business analysis on a regular basis for key accounts that provide POS data to uncover business trends and insights (i.e. Amazon and Target)
  • Create ad hoc reports using Microsoft Excel as required

  • Post-secondary education with a Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Statistics or equivalent experience
  • Minimum 3-5 years sales forecasting or business analyst experience
  • Experience working in the fashion and apparel industry is preferred
  • Demonstrated proficiency of supply chain planning terms and methods (lead times, safety stock, promotional lifts, days of supply, inventory turns, etc.)
  • Experience with Amazon and Target Portals and working with POS Data is an asset
  • Proficient skills using Microsoft Office Suite
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Experience with QlikView is an asset
  • Excellent analytical skills and proven experience interpreting data and gathering insights to facilitate business decisions
  • Proven experience preparing reports and making recommendations

Travel & Logistics Requirements:

  • Must work out of the Bravado Toronto office
  • Core office hours are Monday – Friday
  • Bravado Designs is fragrance-free environment
  • Local Toronto area, if required
